Holi: The festival of Colors

Holi is by far one of the coolest things that I have ever done in my life! It is a festival that is held at the Krishna Temple in Spanish Fork. The main attraction is the throwing of the colors, everyone buys bags full of bright colored chalk and then at the signal colorful chaos occurs as everyone throws their chalk at everyone else! A huge pink mushroom cloud rises above the enormous crowd as the festivities begin. Then they have a day long concert, lots of yummy Indian food and of course, llamas! After we were all partied out we decided to go to an Indian restaurant in Provo becuase we hadn't eaten at the festival, every Indian place that we could think of was jam pack full of fellow color throwers still decorated in their colored chalk, it definitely gets everyone in the Indian spirit! They have it every year in the Spring, it is definitely something that I will look forward to for years to come!
